Where necessary, HPConsulting Services design moment weighing tools to suit a wide range of moment weighing equipment. The principle of operation of the tools is to utilise a quick and easy to use adapter.

Principles Involved

The radial position of the centre of gravity of turbine and compressor blades may vary depending on the method of manufacture. Variation will have a direct effect on rotor unbalance. Mass of moment weighing adapters designed and manufactured by HPConsulting Services are designed to measure to 0. The principle operation is for the blade to be held against a known datum. Typically the blades drop into these tools without the need for clamping elements.

The principle operation of tools utilises a quick and easy-to-use adapter.
